Potentia HR Competency Assessment Tool is an on-line instrument that provides Senior HR functionaries (or organizational leaders) an opportunity to evaluate HR team members on the functional competencies with a view to
- Identify & leverage their strengths
- Explore options for their career growth
- Firm up Development plans for enhancing functional skills
- Selection of aspiring lateral hires into their HR team
The assessment is done based on the Potentia framework for HR Competencies – a 12 competency, 4 level proficiency scale. An HR professional can be evaluated on one or more of the following 12 competencies
- Manpower Planning & Organization Structuring
- Recruitment, Sourcing, Selection and Strategy
- Establishment & Record Keeping
- Employee Relations/ Industrial Relations
- Compensation & Benefits
- Performance Management System
- HRMS, Strategy, Design and Implementation
- HR Analytics
- Training & Management Development
- Organization Development
- Business Acumen
- Strategic HR
Further, the evaluated rating acknowledges (against each of the competencies) the professional as an
- Expert
- Competent
- Proficient
- Aware
Output: The 3-page assessment report provides specific strength areas as well as opportunities for improvement. The report can easily be benchmarked to evaluate person against a pre-determined role within HR function.
Time Required: The time taken depends on the number of functional competencies and whether the evaluation is by single person or a panel. Typically it would take about 30 – 90 minutes on the basis of CBI (Competency Based Interviewing) and about 2-3 hours for the additional Case-studied basis.
