Potentia was engaged for a highly confidential assignment involving a major investment decision. The successful completion of HR due diligence for target company’s Leadership & HR processes contributed meaningfully before the investment decision of over US$ 1.1 Billion was made by our clients – corporate leaders in India.
Unrealistic targets, disappointment with the board and a fire fighting situation that they were thrown in, the functional heads began an “empire building” race to overcome these challenges and envisaged a 900 member army to achieve the insurmountable target.

The CEO of an emerging economy company with the vision “in the next 18 months we want to grow as much as we have in the last ten years” invited us to design an organization structure that was lean and agile but supportive of the growth envisaged moreover, the structure had to be supported by the Executives of the organization.

Invited as functional experts Potentia leveraged the use of AI and donned the role of a process facilitator to articulate roles, responsibilities and deliverables and succeeded in the uplifting the team spirit from a dampener to a euphoric state and creating a robust structure with richly crafted roles. In the end, the renewed motivation of team to fulfill the organizational dreams with manpower sizing of 500 members (as opposed to the originally desired 900) was contagious.
The India operations of a Finnish Company, global leader in their field, had drawn up ambitious plans of multifold growth of becoming a billion Euro company from a 150 million Euro Company in a short span of 2 years. Potentia was engaged to cascade the BHAG (the Big Hairy Audacious Goal) into an implementable plan comprising of SBU/ Function/ Department goals and individual KRAs. In a short span of eight weeks time, Team Potentia facilitated the process through Strategy alignment, functional Objective setting, SMART Goals (for individual managers) and action plans to support implementation. The highlights of the assignment in a multi SBU complex global structure, turned out to be speed, precise articulation, buy-in of all stakeholders and a robust mechanism for individual review and monitoring of the goal achievement process..
